Each blade is fully forged from a single block of high carbon, stain resistant, surgical steel alloy.
Our 22 - step process starts with hot drop forging at temperatures exceeding 1800 F. No stamping, no welding, no short cuts.
The process continues by heating and cooling each piece to exact standards resulting in exceptional hardness.
After many steps the classic Carico shape is formed. The final tempering brings the blade to perfect Rockwell hardness.
Each piece is polished to a final ground surface to create a rut and corrosion resistant blade.
The edge is precision grounded, tapered and then laser tested to insure a cutting edge that is unrivaled.
The blade, designed with the double V connection is permanently imbedded in prolypropylene, forming the Cari-Grip TM handle. This seamless material is virtually indestructible, high impact resistant, and unaffected by moisture or food acids.
The blade and handle are tested under 1,000 pounds of pressure to insure they will never separate.
